Birmingham-based BEC secures contract with the High Commission of Canada

Bec (formally known as Birmingham Enterprise Community) is thrilled to announce that they have been selected by the High Commission of Canada to deliver mentoring support services for the Canadian Technology Accelerator Programme that will support 12 innovative Canadian technology businesses in enterprise software to enter the UK market.

BEC is a not-for-profit organisation that supports entrepreneurs and start-ups through a range of services and programmes. They have a proven track record of supporting businesses to succeed in the UK and overseas – having supported businesses from over 19 countries.

The Canadian Technology Accelerator Programme is an initiative that helps Canadian technology companies to accelerate their growth in global markets through mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to potential customers, investors, and to resources that can help these companies succeed abroad.

BEC will be providing mentoring support services, utilising its network of over 35 sector-leading mentors, to the 12 Canadian tech businesses selected for the programme. This will include one-on-one coaching, advice on market entry and growth strategies, and access to BEC’s extensive network of contacts in the UK.  BEC is excited to be part of this initiative and is committed to supporting these businesses throughout their journey.
