We would like to welcome two new members of the team – Jamie Rymer & Lester Fernandes!
Jamie joins us from his previous role as the Midlands Scaleup Engagement Manager at Tech Nation. He will join BEC as Head of Entrepreneurial Support where he will be tasked with coordinating the delivery of BEC’s award winning business support – including a new social economy programme that BEC has been recently commissioned to deliver for the West Midlands.
Lester joins BEC as Office Manager after having completed a Masters in Strategy and International Business at Aston Business School. Before this, Lester worked in a variety of Business Development and Operational Management roles. His work at BEC will see him take responsibility for daily functions and provide operational support to the programme delivery teams.
Both Jamie & Lester have also had stints setting up their own businesses – meaning that they are both entrepreneurs at heart which is something important to the BEC team.
“I’d like to wish a massive welcome to Jamie & Lester”, said BEC Chief Executive Daniel Evans. “They both arrive with new skills, perspectives and ideas to bring to BEC and glad to see them get started. It is also an important part of BEC’s growth heading towards our 5th anniversary as we look forward to another year of strong growth across all metrics – especially our social impact”.
