BEC has relaunched its award winning Startup Programme alongside also relaunching Female Founder Scholarships which provides female founders with fully funded spaces to the Startup Sprint programme to help them launch their business.
The announcement was made on International Women’s Day 2024, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women. BEC originally created its Female Founder Scholarships as a response to the findings and recommendations of the Rose Review (a review into female entrepreneurship in the UK). The idea was that by providing fully funded spaces onto the Startup Sprint Programme, BEC would be able to increase available support for female founders. The programme itself would help the participants to gain valuable skills and knowledge to help them further their entrepreneurial venture – with the hope that these strong foundations would help them overcome other barriers faced by female founders such as issues with getting funding.
The full application for the scholarships and startup sprint programme will be open from early April with the programme running in May. Startup Sprint is 6 weeks long and covers a range of essential topics to help participants to build solid foundations by learning from expert entrepreneurs & mentors.
Those interested in the Female Founder Scholarship can register their interest here to be the first to find out when applications open.
