After receiving a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Enterprise Support Champion of the Year category at the NEN Awards 2019, Birmingham Enterprise Community have once again been shortlisted as finalists for 2020 edition of the National Enterprise Network Awards in not one but two categories!
Speaking about reaching the NEN Awards 2020 final, BEC COO Omran Al Habbal said “ Since the start of BEC journey we have always had the best interest of the enterprise community and stakeholders at the heart of all of our activities and initiative and to be able to have an impact in the enterprise ecosystem within less than two year is such a delight and pleasure. We are so happy to be recognised as a member of the enterprise network working with all the supporters across the nation and globally. This achievement is driven from the collaboration with others, by working with others we can achieve great things as we always work with the ethos of collaboration over competition.”
Each year, the National Enterprise Network Awards recognises excellence in the delivery of enterprise support across the country bringing together the very best of those whose mission it is to support enterprise & business. This time BEC has been shortlisted in two categories – Enterprise Support Champion of the Year, an award that celebrates the passion and commitment of those doing amazing work to support enterprise, and Enterprise Impact Award, an award that focuses on the impact an organisation had making a difference to the life of its clients and their businesses.
“The organisations featured on the 2020 National Enterprise Network Awards shortlist have all clearly demonstrated excellence in the delivery of enterprise support, or work taking place in educational settings which are focused on embedding entrepreneurial spirit and enterprise into this environment. Selecting a shortlist is never an easy task, but reading through all of the entries provided a great insight into some of the fantastic enterprise related initiatives and committed professionals working incredibly hard across the whole of England in these challenging times.” said Alex Till, Chairman of the National Enterprise Network. “We’ve always been proud of the work of our members and wider network and congratulate everyone who has been shortlisted. We look forward to announcing the names of the category winners at our digital conference on 10th December!”
The judging panel formed of NEN Chairman Alex Till; Martin Traynor, SME Crown Representative and Matt Smith, NEN Director together chose a number of organisations that clearly showed us why they are award-worthy.
The Birmingham Enterprise Community team would like to wish all of the fellow nominees good luck for the final and congratulate them on their achievements throughout 2020.
